The newly formed media team is participating in the tournament for the first time with former national player Frank Schwartz as player/coach. Schwartz said it has been hard work getting the team into shape, but added the team is anxiously awaiting the winner of Zone A.

The team comprises of a number of media personalities and was handpicked by Joseph “Joe Joe” Apparicio, host of OBSERVER Radio’s Good Morning Joe Joe Sports Show.

Apparacio said the public can come and see players such as 2014 Road March champ Menace, Mello, Baldwin “Spliff” Anthony, Carl Joseph, Dion Simmons, Major Telbert Benjamin of ABDF, Cleofoster Harris, Dale Jones, Kylon Cabral, Shennel Richardson, Shonnet Malone, Rosie Simon and Nyota Peters.

Apparacio told the media, jokingly, that the players on the team all have some interaction with the media and the skill set of the team have made it a true force to reckon with. The team is skippered by Rosie Simon, who accepted the leadership role quite well.

Simon said it has been a dream job for her to skipper such a talented group of volleyballers. Simon went on to add that the team is available for fete matches against any business place who just want to have some fun time playing good volleyball.
