Interim President of the Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association and Executive Member of the Antigua and Barbuda Olympic Association, Mr. Howard Everton Cornelius has been appointed Chef de Mission to lead the Antigua and Barbuda delegation in the upcoming Pan American Games to be held in Toronto, Canada from 10th – 26th July, 2015. Mr. Cornelius participated in the Chefs de Mission Seminar held from 16th – 20th September, 2014 in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel. ABOA Secretary General, Mr. Cliff Williams was also in attendance.

Chefs de Mission from 41 National Olympic Committees were in attendance for the final major preparation meeting ahead of the 2015 Games.

During the four days of meetings, the Chefs de Mission; got the opportunity to view the Games village as well as the competition venue of what is said to be the biggest ever Pan American Games.

Close to 7,000 athletes from 41 nations across Latin America, South America, the Caribbean and North America are expected to put their years of intense training, perseverance and sacrifice to the test in this upcoming world-class competition in 36 sporting disciplines.
