Head of the Physical Education Department at the Princess Margaret Secondary School and newly elected Member of the ABOA Executive Board, Kelesha Antoine, has been appointed Chef de Mission for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games. She attended the Chef de Mission Seminar held on 26th – 29th March, 2014.

“While in Nanjing, we visited the city wall which will also be a site of visit for the athletes. There, they will engage in traditional Chinese kite making and learn a bit more history on the importance of that wall. We also visited the Olympic Village and a few of the sporting venues. I can tell you that our young athletes/ ambassadors will be very pleased with their living conditions,” she reported.

“I really hope with this opportunity given to them, they will understand how important and vital sports is to our development. Even more, they will see it as a path way to further themselves in life and to becoming better human beings and great world class athletes.” Ms. Antoine ended by thanking the NOC for such an opportunity.
