As the build-up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games continues, Chefs de Mission and senior team leaders from all 70 nations and territories have arrived in Glasgow for a four-day seminar. Antigua and Barbuda’s Chef de Mission will be in attendance.
The delegates from all the competing CGAs will be taken through the Glasgow 2014 Games experience from the athletes’ perspective, from arrival and preparation through to competition and Ceremonies to check out and final travel arrangements.
They will also receive information on the services that will be delivered to their athletes at Games time such as their accommodation at the Athletes’ Village, facilities for training and competition, transport, medal ceremonies participation and Festival 2014 – the Games Cultural Programme.
Chefs de Mission are the main point of contact for the Organizing Committee during the games and manage all the preparation and knowledge their team needs for the event.
