RADO Board Member, Dr. Philmore Benjamin is presently in Johannesburg, South Africa at the 4th World Conference on Doping in Sports. The Conference began on 12th November and will conclude on 15th November, 2013.
Aims and Objectives
The work of the Conference will be centered on the World Anti-Doping Code review process which began in late 2011, and the resulting draft version of the 2015 Code. At the same time as the review of the Code, four of WADA’s five associated International Standards (listed below) also underwent a thorough consultation process.
- International Standard for Laboratories (ISL)
- International Standard for the Protection of Privacy and Personal Information (ISPPPI)
- International Standard for Testing (IST)
- International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (ISTUE)
The World Conference will enable WADA stakeholders to publicly comment on proposed changes to the Code and the related International Standards. WADA’s Foundation Board will approve the revised drafts on at the end of the Conference.
